Job Description

We have an opportunity for an Account Manager at our Calgary Sales office.

The primary responsibility of the Account Manager is to develop and maintain the EVRAZ OCTG business among Oil and Gas producers within in the Canadian market. The Account Manager will be responsible for promoting and increasing awareness of EVRAZ OCTG products, as well as gathering and track information that will facilitate growth of the business.

Job Responsibilities
  • Market EVRAZ OCTG products to new and existing Canadian Oil and Gas Producers.
  • Maintain Account Plans and actions at these Producers to pull EVRAZ products through the Distributor
  • Increase awareness of EVRAZ through Customer presentations of the OCTG products
  • Maintain a customer Data Base that will include contacts , 3 year plans
  • Develop visibility within the industry associations and potential new customers
  • Maintain a network that will supply market intelligence in order to ensure that EVRAZ meets the needs of customers today and that any future needs are identified and can be developed.
  • Participate and in the development and execution of Marketing initiatives that are consistent with the strategy and goals of EVRAZ

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor Degree in a related discipline or equivalent experience
  • Knowledge of the oil and gas industry
  • Knowledge of tubular products and connections used in the Oil and Gas industry

Job Responsibilities

This position is responsible for, but not limited to the following:

  • Development of inspection, predictive and preventive maintenance programs for assigned assets.
  • Preparing, monitoring and evaluating the results from equipment inspections.
  • Establishing equipment criticality and technical status.
  • Defining and optimizing spare part levels for assigned assets.
  • Developing plans for maintenance downturns, major plant shutdowns and maintenance related capital expenditure projects.

Job Requirements

This position would be of interest to Electrical Engineers/technologists with maintenance experience. Knowledge and experience working with PLCs required. Individuals with Operations Management experience coupled with 5 years of experience in an industrial manufacturing environment preferred.

The successful candidate will also possess good communication skills, and an solid understanding of equipment technologies, limitations, and their effect on safety, quality, productivity and cost.

Job Description

EVRAZ has an opening for a Customer Service Representative at our Calgary Sales office. This position will be the main contact, representing EVRAZ to our customer base. This will include, but is not limited to our distributors and end users of our tubular products.

Job Responsibilities
  • Handling customer inquiries, ensuring customer support and satisfaction through the sales process
  • Follow up on customer orders with the pipe mill, ensuring order shipments are processed and on time and in full
  • Enter customer orders and maintain pricing databases
  • Monitor inventories and production of tubular products
  • Review and ensure current and future inventories are organized, tracked, and monitored according to our customer and business needs
  • Relay customer concerns to the appropriate area throughout the organization
  • Liaise with the appropriate stakeholders to ensure the efficient organization of the customer base

Job Requirements
  • University / College degree in Sales or Marketing, or a Technical degree with inside sales exposure and experience is preferred.
  • Experience in an industrial manufacturing environment an asset or have the ability to apply a Technical background from the Oil and Gas industry to an inside sales perspective.
  • Advanced computer skills in MS Office.
  • Team player, organized with strong communication skills
  • Knowledge of the Alberta Oil and Gas Industry, from a Sales point of view preferred.

We have an opportunity for a Purchasing Supervisor at our EVRAZ Calgary Plant.

The Purchasing Supervisor is responsible for organizing, directing, and controlling procurement of goods and services for their local operations. This includes executing the corporate purchasing strategy, meeting the corporate objectives, as they apply but not limited to Procurement Policies & Procedures, Strategic Purchasing Initiatives (SPI), plant productivity, and achievement of cost reduction targets.

Job Responsibilities
  • Provide spend and usage data to assist in corporate projects.
  • Responsible to assist other purchasing departments as required.
  • Identify areas of opportunity for strategic purchasing initiative projects.
  • Assist in coordinating and implementing SPI projects locally.
  • Manage the supplier relationship.

Job Requirements
  • Possess or willing to work towards obtaining their SMT Diploma in Purchasing and SCMP designation from SCMA.
  • 3-5 years hands on purchasing experience.
  • Equivalent combination of education and experience is also acceptable.

Job Responsibility
  • Conduct safety audit to ensure compliance with regulatory standards and the company safety program.
  • Oversee all responsibilities for safety at the Calgary Plant.

Job Description

We are seeking a Technical Sales Engineer to join our team. This position will report to our Senior Director of Quality, Process & Production Development and is based in our Calgary Sales office.

Job Responsibilities
  • Responsible for providing technical support to our sales account managers during the order to invoice process.
  • To provide technical leadership for large customer projects including line pipe and casing.
  • To represent EVRAZ TPG at industry technical meetings, provide feedback and monitor the standards process. Provide guidance on new product opportunities.
  • Provide assistance to sales/marketing on technical publications for EVRAZ Tubular products.

Additional Responsibilities:

  • To review customer technical specifications concerning TPG capability during the inquiry process and provide written feedback to the appropriate sales manager.
  • To oversee the timely completion of technical issues arising from large customer development projects/programs in line pipe or OCTG. More specifically, Technical issues from pre-production meetings
  • Following quality plan development activities
  • Development of technical presentation materials
  • Follow-up reporting of pre-production action items and tracking to completion
  • Work with research and development on the requirements for prototype testing programs as they may apply to customer projects.
  • To develop and subsequently maintain a mill capability database for tracking mill production capabilities. The database can be used to aid sales personnel in the “order-acceptance process”.
  • To represent EVRAZ at industry technical meetings including API, CSA, ASTM, etc.
  • Periodically report on the state of key initiatives
  • Participate where appropriate in “working-groups” that involve specification revision or the development of new specifications.
  • Give guidance to TPG management on the future direction of the industry/customer base with respect to customer requirements.
  • To advise customers concerning tubular product or connection choices for their applications
  • To be knowledgeable in well design, construction and stimulation techniques.
  • To be knowledgeable in connection applications, design features and performance.
  • To be knowledgeable in line pipe applications and construction techniques.
  • Provide assistance to sales/marketing on technical publications for EVRAZTubular products
  • Collect, develop, edit the technical data from the TPG technical teams
  • Develop drafts for review prior/during the publishing phase.

Job Requirements
  • Engineering or technical degree preferred. Metallurgical/Materials, Mechanical or Petroleum engineering degree a plus.

Job Responsibilities

The Non-destructive testing (NDT) Coordinator is responsible for Ultrasonic Testing and Electromagentic Inspection activities related to electric resistance welded (ERW) tubular products. Activities will include the management of Ultrasonic Testing and Electromagnetic equipment maintenance, setup, calibration and operator training. The NDT Coordinator will be required to participate in the selection, installation and implementation of replacement or additional NDT equipment.

Position responsibilities include:

  • Coordinate repairs of equipment with the maintenance team
  • Assist NDT personnel with changeover setups and troubleshooting.
  • Develop and implement NDT process improvements.
  • Work with and assist project teams in evaluating and purchasing new NDT equipment or upgrading current NDT equipment.
  • Oversee third party NDT activities when required.
  • Maintain NDT operator training and certification records and conduct training.

Job Description

We are seeking a Director of Product Technology to join our team. In this role, this individual will be responsible for providing oversight for the product development activities, ISO Quality systems management, safe job practices and failure analysis evaluations, for the EVRAZ Tubular Products Group (TPG). This position will interact with the mill quality assurance teams, operations departments, and senior TPG management on a routine basis to ensure that product development efforts are market driven, results are produced according to published timelines, work proceeds on budget and, are accomplished in a safe manner.

Job Responsibilities
  • Oversee the maintenance and continual improvement of the R&D ISO-based Quality Management System.
  • Work with the FPG Research staff to share responsibilities for the auditing and system maintenance functions.
  • Oversees the management of all TPG product development activities including ERW/SMLS pipe and connections.
  • Manage the “product launch” portion of new product development by ensuring successful mill trials (with QC control plan development), development of product marketing materials, and customer application trials are completed in a satisfactory manner.
  • Develops R&D best practices involving testing methods for safety, efficiency and accuracy.

Job Requirements
  • Recognized Degree in Metallurgical Engineering, Materials Science or Mechanical Engineering. (MS or Ph.D. preferred)
  • 10 years experience working as a senior manager in a product or process development role.
  • Must understand ISO Quality standards and Quality Management Systems including quality control planning for new products.
  • Knowledge of pipe and /or steel mill processes and operations a plus.

We are seeking a Safety Manager to join our team in Regina. In this role, The Manager, Safety & Security will identify, develop and implement programs and activities necessary to prevent incidents likely to result in personal injuries or property damage. This person will maintain compliance with applicable laws and regulations and direct loss control functions through sound security practices and effective claims management.

Job Responsibilities
  • Develop and implement safety management systems, which include written standards, training requirements, monitoring/auditing elements and corrective action steps. Systems shall exceed compliance and create value added enhancement to plant operations whenever feasible.
  • Represent the Company in loss prevention and claims management activities with workers compensation boards and general liability insurance carriers.

Job Description

EVRAZ has an opportunity at its Regina facility for a Senior Electrical Engineer.

Job Responsibilities

The Electrical Engineer will perform engineering project management, design, and technical support as defined by all departments in a timely, accurate, and cost-effective manner.

Responsibilities of the Senior Electrical Engineer include:

  • Providing all departments with equipment and designs that meet company standards.
  • Providing technical support and troubleshooting services to Maintenance and Operations Departments.
  • Following and improving policies and procedures for documenting work; providing comprehensive documentation for all projects.
  • Recommending and managing capital projects.
  • Remaining current with EVRAZ business including appropriate level of understanding of product manufacturing processes and applied technologies.
  • Writing proposals including business rules, process descriptions, business controls, opportunities, costs, and benefits.
  • Writing requirement specifications, high level design, and architecture specifications and familiar with Canadian code and standards.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering with min. 8-10yrs experience in heavy industry experience required.
  • Well-organized self-starter, capable of budgeting time to meet priorities, while maintaining accuracy and functionality.
  • Strong written and oral communication skills with demonstrated ability to write technical documents and specifications.
  • Knowledge of Electrical theory, Industrial Power equipment including HV substation, transformers, MV switchgear, MV & LV motor control system, DC & AC Drives, and instrumentation & control systems.
  • Ability to read and interpret electrical, mechanical, and hydraulic schematics and drawings.
  • Experience with troubleshooting techniques on manufacturing equipment/processes.
  • Computer literate with experience in spreadsheet, word processing, (preferably Microsoft) and MS project and other Project management tools.
  • Able and willing to support 24-hour Rolling mill and Meltshop operation through variable shifts and/or on-call, when required.
  • Ability to work in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust and noise.
  • Current professional engineering status in Canadian province with eligibility for registration in the province of Saskatchewan.
