We are seeking a Compensation Analyst to join our team. In this role, the individual will administer compensation programs for both the US and Canada, influence strategy, and develop monthly HR metrics reporting (i.e. HR head count, overtime, turnover, accruals and budget reporting). Job Responsibilities
  • Administer compensation programs for US & Canada hourly and salaried employees.
  • Recommend and implements new compensation strategies and processes.
  • Manage annual wage increase and bonus processes for all North American employees.
  • Maintain competitive, cost-effective, competitive, and internally equitable compensation programs.
  • Manage and administer major compensation programs including short- and long-term bonuses, incentives and other special reward programs.
  • Create models for management regarding potential compensation plan changes.
  • Develop, analyze, and prepare regular and adhoc reports and HR Metrics. Provide monthly accruals to Finance.
  • Prepare annual budget for HR function including forecasted benefits and cost center spend.
  • Participate in external compensation surveys, provides detailed analysis on positions.
  • Develop job descriptions and titles and ensures titling is in compliance with policy and directives.
  • Work closely with HRIS to ensure job grades, codes, etc. are properly upgraded and maintained in system and to develop and run statistical reports on compensation.
  • Provide consultation, training and education for HR, supervisors, managers, and employees on Company compensation programs.
  • Ensure compliance of all compensation programs with federal and state regulations; conducts periodic audits of salaries to identify any potential problems or non-compliance

Job Reqiurements

Job Description

We are looking for a Financial Analyst. This person will be responsible for analyzing financials, the consolidation of EVRAZ NA forecast/budget, the analysis and review of business unit financials, and the development/review of reports of the business unit’s performance through evaluation of sales, costs, working capital, investments, etc.

Job Responsibilities
  • Conducts detailed monthly financial analysis of cost, sales, key business indicators and other financial measurements
  • Prepare consolidated budgets for Director FP&A/Senior Manager FP&A review
  • Analyze, review and challenge business unit’s forecast assumptions
  • Analyze reasons for variances versus forecast, plan and budget with recommended actions to drive improvements in the business
  • Prepares cash flow analysis and balance sheet forecasts and reports
  • Develops financial presentations to Board, external parties (e.g., banks, auditors, etc.)
  • Assist with mill-based financial analysis and consolidation of budgets
  • Develops analysis to help drive decision for viability of merger or acquisition through analysis of companies financials, as required
  • Develop financial models depicting key financial and operational relationships
  • Assists with special business related studies and financial analysis as required
  • Assist with special projects on an as needed basis

Job Requirements
  • BA/BS degree in Accounting, Finance, Economics, Business Administration or related field
  • MBA or MBA candidate a plus
  • CMA/CPA /CFA/ desirable
  • Preferred candidates will have 2 years of finance or accounting experience, preferably in a manufacturing environment
  • Advanced skills in Microsoft Office products (Excel, Word, Powerpoint)

Job Description

We are seeking a Sales Manager to join our EVRAZ East Metals team. This position is location at our downtown Chicago, North American headquarters. In this role, this individual will be responsible for maintaining and optimizing penetration of vanadium products to the North American steel market in line with EVRAZ’s long-term strategic objectives. This position will work within the Vanadium Sales Team and report to the General Manager of Sales and Technical Services.

Job Responsibilities
  • Manage sales of Vanadium products to assigned customers/regions with emphasis on meeting annual sales objectives and long term strategic market objectives.
  • Develop annual sales plan for assigned customers/regions.
  • Focus on product development within assigned territory.
  • Support strategic plan objectives opposite core customer development plans for assigned ac-counts.
  • Report month sales results vs. forecast and update forecast weekly.
  • Additional responsibilities as necessary to support annual and long-term sales and marketing objectives.
  • 50% to 70% travel Domestically and some international travel required.

Job Requirements
  • B.S. in Metallurgical/Materials Engineering, chemistry or business desired
  • 3-5 Minimum years experience in steel making /metals sales desired

  • Must be computer proficient with a strong background in office based software packages - proficiency in MS Excel a plus.
  • Ability to travel up to 70% of the time both domestically and internationally for customer, pro-duction and warehouse location visits and related conference or trade shows.

We are seeking a Senior Benefits Analyst to join our team. In this role, this individual will be responsible for benefits administration for the EVRAZ NA group and working within the Compensation & Benefits team. This position reports to the Senior Manager, International Compensation & Benefits.

Job Responsibilities
  • Perform analysis, propose changes to existing programs, and lead the implementation of new benefit programs.
  • Manages relationships with benefits program providers.
  • Supports the day to day administration of benefit programs including Health, Dental, COBRA, Health Savings Accounts, Flexible Spending Accounts, Life Insurance, Long-Term Care, EAP, 401k, and pension plans.
  • Consult with employees, managers, and HR on plan provisions, benefit eligibility, benefit enroll-ment, status changes and other general inquiries.
  • Troubleshoot and resolve both routine and complex benefit issues.
  • Partner with team members, and lead initiatives, to improve and develop best practices for em-ployee benefits delivery.
  • Arranges and conducts employee information presentations, enrollments and new hire benefit orientations.
  • Provide financial metrics and cost analysis of benefit options.
  • Maintain benefit records and documentation; perform routine reporting and audit data and em-ployee follow up.

EVRAZ's North America Corporate office is located in downtown Chicago, in the AON Center. We are looking for an entry level Treasury Analyst to assist the treasury team in preparing cash position reporting & analysis, initiating/processing electronic payments and investing available funds.

Job Responsibilities
  • Act as lead system administrator for treasury workstation/bank portals/purchase card portals.
  • Act as lead administrator of manual check deposits and weekly check runs.
  • Maintain SOX related documentation including bank account authorization matrix and other cash management controls.

Job Description

Evraz Portland, located in North Portland, is a leading manufacturer of steel plate and coil, large diameter line pipe and structural tubing. These quality products are used in a vast range of applications including bridges, buildings, freeway overpasses, ships, barges and many more.

Pay up to $33.00 per hour based on experience.

Job Responsibilities:

The successful candidate will be able to inspect and repair electrical operating equipment as necessary; Perform routine preventive maintenance and repairs to electrical and control systems; work in environment subject to fluctuations in heat, humidity, fumes, odors, dust, and noise; keep accurate and legible records and maintain a clean and safe work area.

Minimumm Requirements:
  • Oregon Limited Journeyman Mfg Plant Electrician License-or higher
  • PLC/Automated Control experience
  • AC/DC controls/motors, systems drives
  • Ability to read blueprints or schematic drawings
  • Basic understanding of Oregon Lock Out/Tag Out Procedures and Arc Flash protection
  • Proficient in use of Computer (Microsoft Word, Excel)

This individual will indirectly oversee our hydraulic team and develop three technicians (two Mechanical Maintenance Technicians and one Maintenance Electrical Technician) into fully skilled hydraulic technicians by working with maintenance crews for training and also through on-the-job, hands-on training.

Leading your crew and working with our Maintenance Supervisors, your goals will include:

Job Requirements

  • Review ERW orders in regards to rolling/slitting/shipping on time

Job Description

We are looking for a Quality Control Supervisor at our Portland, Oregon location. The Quality Control Supervisor will provide supervision for the inspection and testing activities for the pipe mill. This position will interact with the operations department on a daily basis to ensure that a high quality product is produced as efficiently and safely as possible. A part of the job will be to interact with mill personnel at all levels, but primary interactions will be with shop floor subordinates and mid-level management. This person will be involved in team-oriented problem solving efforts as opportunities present themselves.

Job Responsibilities
  • Monitor ongoing inspection process in each production department to ensure that inspections are accomplished according to documented procedures.
  • Order, receive and maintain a necessary inventory of inspection-related supplies.
  • Ensure inspection equipment is calibrated, verified according to proper frequencies, and properly maintained.
  • Ensure that quality control reporting and records are completed in all areas in a timely fashion (typically on a per shift basis).
  • Review quality reports in each inspection area and provide guidance to the inspection personnel concerning inspection setups, poor trends in the inspection data, or improvements in techniques as required.
  • Develop recommendations concerning reactions to problems with inspection data and work with the operating department to limit the manufacturing of non-compliant product in each production area.
  • Work with quality management to develop/improve written inspection procedures, as needed.
  • Participate, as needed, in quality improvement projects including following trials, analyzing results, collecting shop floor data, etc.

Job Requirements
  • Bachelors degree is preferred.
  • 5 years work experience in the quality department of a manufacturing-related business. Pipe and /or steel mill processes and operations a plus.
  • Knowledge of ISO based quality systems.
  • Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interact with individuals at various levels within the organization.
  • Experience working with interdepartmental teams at all levels of management to accomplish goals.

Job Responsibilities

As a Machinist you will machine, disassemble and assemble parts for equipment and machines. Job Responsibilities

As a Mechanical Technician, you will provide all necessary mechanical maintenance to all areas of the Mill in a safe and efficient manner.

Your specific duties will include:

  • Serving the function(s) of a Boilermaker, Millwright, Pipefitter and Welder depending upon training and certification
  • Completing the training program to become skilled in all four of the crafts mentioned above

We are seeking a Process Control Engineer to join our team. This individual will be accountable for the design, development and implementation of process control systems (hardware and software) to improve product quality, process efficiency and mill productivity. He/She will be working with mill process control coordinators to provide data collection and automation for key process control parameters.

We are seeking a Seamless Mill Shipping Supervisor to join our team. In this role, this individual will be responsible for directing and supervising employees in the handling and shipping of seamless pipe. The Seamless Mill Shipping Supervisor will direct and prioritize movement of inventory from various finishing operations through third party inspection into finished goods in order to meet required shipping commitments safely and efficiently.

Job Responsibilities
  • Work closely with PP&C to coordinate shipments to threaders with the final goal of shipping threaded pipe from a vendor location to the customer on time.
  • Organize and maintain the finished goods inventory.
  • Take ownership of and assist in physical inventories and cycle counts.
  • Coordinate truck and rail availability by working closely with the traffic department, while keeping the mill and sales informed of shipping plan.
  • Must be a strong communicator and detail orientated.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Superintendent for our Rod and Bar Mill in Pueblo, CO.

Job Responsibilities

As a Steel Production Worker you will work with the production of various types of steel products in the production and/or finishing mills of a large steel making plant. The ideal candidate will demonstrate a high regard for safety. You may work with and/or operate machines, mobile equipment, cranes, conveyor belts, tools, equipment, various materials and supplies.

  • Adhere to all appropriate Standard Operating Procedures
  • Utilize necessary safety equipment
  • Keep work area and equipment clean and orderly
  • Perform routine maintenance and assist Maintenance personnel
  • Observe all safety rules and lock out procedures
  • Perform duties as needed in keeping mill operational

Job Requirements
  • Operates all equipment needed to complete the job
  • Observes all safety rules and lockout procedures
  • Must be willing to work varied shifts (3 shift rotation) and any days of the week
  • Must have a valid driver’s license.

Essential Physical Activities:
Must be able to climb, balance, stoop, kneel, crouch, crawl, reach, stand, walk, push, pull, lift, carry, finger, grasp, feel, talk to communicate, speak over public address system, hear, and make repetitive motions. Must be able to see to operate machines. May constantly exert forces up to 50 pounds and frequently exert forces up to 100 pounds to lift, carry, push or pull.

Work Conditions:
Subject to both inside and outside environmental conditions. Exposed to elevated noise levels and extreme heat and cold. Physical hazards - Close proximity to moving parts, hot surfaces, pinch points, sparks, sharp edges, high pressure air, oxygen and gas lines. Atmospheric conditions may require the use of a respirator.

Preferred Qualifications:

  • Experience in heavy industry, manufacturing, or mining; or experience working with machinery, equipment operation or a closely related field.
  • HS Diploma or GED and a demonstrated pattern of stable work history
  • 12 Months experience in Machine Operation and General Labor.

Job Description

We are currently seeking a Superintendent for our Rod and Bar Mill in Pueblo, CO. Thw Superintendent will be responsible for leading the day-to-day operations of the rolling mill. The responsibilities will include: mentoring teams, training, directing and creating a culture of safety, quality and collaboration. This individual will also be responsible for creating and managing the mill budget, capital and operations planning, mill productivity, and managing a team of 115 people. He/She will report to the Director of Operations.

Job Responsibilities
  • Creating a culture of safety throughout the rolling mill
  • Training employees on safe work practices
  • Attending weekly safety meetings
  • Driving the quality performance for the rolling mill
  • Developing and directing the leadership team in quality improvements
  • Working with the technical department on new product development
  • Ensuring the mill is following all ISO conformance
  • Developing production improvement teams
  • Setting goals and measurements for the rolling mill
  • Developing plans for capital project
  • Maintaining the monthly budget

Job Requirements

As a Superintendent, one must have a proven track record of success in production management with strict adherence to safety regulations. One must be able to create and lead a culture of safety. Qualified candidates must have very strong communication skills and the ability to manage upward and downward in the organization. He/She must have a history of managing change and having the managerial courage of doing the right thing. The Superintendent must have experience developing goals and performance improvement plans for staff.

Other requirements of the Superintendent position include:

  • 10+ years of experience as a Superintendent, Operations Manager or General Supervisor
  • Must have experience in a union environment
  • Bachelor’s degree, strongly preferred
  • Must have heavy industrial manufacturing experience (i.e. steel, metals, automotive, machinery, paper and forest or scrap yard)
  • Must have experience in lean manufacturing and continuous improvement
