EVRAZ North America Expands its Leadership Team

Jacob Lubbe promoted to Senior Vice President and John Zanieski as President of Recycling

[Chicago, Illinois] [December 15, 2011] – EVRAZ North America today announced Mr. Jacob Lubbe has been promoted to Senior Vice President, Manufacturing Development and Supply Chain, while Mr. John Zanieski has filled the role of President, EVRAZ Recycling.

Mr. Lubbe, who most recently served in the role of Vice President, Manufacturing Development at EVRAZ North America, will continue to lead the improvement and standardization of the company’s manufacturing performance. Mr. Lubbe joined EVRAZ just over a year ago and has been instrumental in overseeing implementation of 6S and other lean manufacturing practices across the company’s operations. Before joining EVRAZ, he was the Plant Manager at Charter Steel in Cleveland, Ohio and held several management positions within Gerdau Ameristeel. He has a Bachelor’s Degree in Metallurgical Engineering from the University of Potchefstroom in South Africa, and a mini-MBA from Rutgers University.

As President of EVRAZ Recycling, Mr. Zanieski took over management of the North American company’s scrap procurement and recycling operations in September. He brings over 25 years of progressive professional experience with both public and private companies, most recently at Precision Castparts Corporation where he was their General Manager and Vice President – West Coast Operations. Mr. Zanieski holds a Bachelor of Arts degree in Economics and Political Science from Yale University and an MBA from the Wharton School at the University of Pennsylvania.
